Overview
We are currently recruiting a Director for a private credit fund focused on real estate lending ($1mil - $40mil). You'll be responsible for managing a small team as well as sourcing, structuring, and executing real estate transactions across the full deal lifecycle from initial relationship through credit approval to financial close. The role would be suitable for someone in a private credit fund, or in a bank in a real estate lending team.
Responsibilities
* Originate new real estate lending opportunities across the $1M–$40M ticket size
* Lead deal structuring and execution from term sheet through to financial close, working closely with credit, legal, and operations
* Build and maintain a network of referral relationships
* Lead and develop a team of BDM's and Credit Analysts
* Prepare and present credit papers and investment committee submissions
* Represent the fund externally as a senior market presence
Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in real estate lending within a bank or private credit fund
* A demonstrated track record of originating and closing transactions and a robust referral network
* Robust credit and structuring skills
* Solid leadership skills and experience
* Commercial instinct, entrepreneurial energy, and the ability to operate with autonomy
* Excellent communication and relationship skills
