About the Role
The Account Manager is tasked with managing the sponsorship campaign delivery for a portfolio of SXSW Sydney Commercial Partners. This role is key to ensuring the successful end-to-end delivery of Partner sponsorship benefits.
Please note: The role is a contract position until the 31 October, 2025.
Requirements
What does a day in the life look like?
* Lead Partner Contact: Manage a portfolio of 20+ commercial partners and coordinate with internal teams to deliver sponsorship benefits.
* Project Management: Oversee campaigns from planning to execution, including processes, content, and admin support.
* Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with marketing, ticketing, events, and programming teams to deliver partner assets.
* Account Ownership: Own each partnership from contract signing through to delivery, including WIPs and reporting.
* Client Service & Multitasking: Balance multiple partners and priorities while delivering top-tier service.
* Event Support: Provide on-site support during event week, ensuring smooth execution and strong partner engagement.
About you
Essential Skills and Experience
* 3+ years’ account management experience in major events, festivals, or activations, with strong sponsorship and logistics know-how
* Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects under tight deadlines
* Experience handling high-volume accounts while delivering top-tier service across varied workstreams
* Strong stakeholder management, including senior internal and external relationships
* Confident problem-solver with a flexible, solutions-focused mindset
* Skilled in tools like Monday.com and Microsoft Office for project and content management
* Clear, effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
Key Considerations:
This role requires you to:
* Work outside of normal business hours and on the weekends closer to the event (during SXSW Sydney event week, and in lead up to the event).
* Spend extended periods of time on your feet at events (during SXSW Sydney event week)
