A high-performing boutique commercial non-bank lender is seeking a Head of Sales to lead and scale its national sales function during a period of strategic growth.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a succession-backed leadership role with structured knowledge transfer in a newly created role, designed to consolidate the sales function under single leadership as the business scales. You will inherit a strong foundation: experienced team, established broker relationships, and a clear growth mandate across new geographies and product lines.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of growth—strengthening sales processes, driving broker engagement, and building a high-performing, accountable sales culture.

The Opportunity
* The Head of Sales will lead the national sales function, working closely with the CEO and executive team to deliver the company's growth ambitions. The role is responsible for setting and executing the sales strategy, ensuring the organisation consistently achieves its new business targets while maintaining the quality and discipline expected within a specialist lending environment.
* A central part of the role will be building greater structure and accountability across the sales function. This includes strengthening pipeline management, embedding consistent CRM utilisation, and establishing clear reporting frameworks that provide visibility across performance, referrer activity, and conversion metrics. Using these insights to improve forecasting accuracy, identify growth opportunities, and drive consistent performance across territories.
* The position will also take ownership of the development and leadership of the national sales team currently 11 people comprising Business Development Managers and Client Managers across multiple locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing the team, implementing performance frameworks, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Externally, you will play a key role in strengthening the organisation's broker and referrer relationships. This includes building strategic partnerships with finance brokers, accountants, and other professional referrers, while also developing structured engagement and education initiatives that deepen the company's presence within its core distribution channels.
* The role requires close collaboration with credit, operations, and marketing to ensure a seamless client experience and the effective delivery of the company's lending solutions. The Head of Sales will also provide ongoing market intelligence to the executive team, identifying emerging opportunities, competitive dynamics, and product development insights that support the organisation's continued growth.
About YOU
* This role suits a seasoned sales leader with over 5 year's experience in leading teams, ready to take ownership of a function within a growing, founder-led business. They are emotionally mature, low-ego, and collaborative, leading through credibility and influence rather than authority. Comfortable operating in an evolving structure, they build trust quickly with teams, brokers, and stakeholders while balancing patience with the confidence to establish direction.
* They bring a strong track record within specialist or boutique finance—ideally commercial, residential, or asset lending—and a deep understanding of broker-led distribution. They have led geographically dispersed teams, managed performance across varied capability levels, and successfully run a sales function with meaningful revenue accountability.
* Equally important, they are comfortable navigating transition and ambiguity. They respect existing relationships and institutional knowledge while progressively stepping into ownership, building confidence among founders and stakeholders as the sales function evolves.
