About The Role
The Paint Technician is responsible for specializing in the surface preparation and painting of cranes and heavy lifting equipment and ensuring all vehicles are prepared for customer delivery to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide surface preparation and painting of cranes and heavy lifting equipment
* Work as part of a close‐knit team of painters focused on quality, safety, and on‐time delivery
* Prepare crane surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers
* Operate spray‐painting equipment to apply industrial coatings (e.g., Two Pac, epoxy, polyurethane)
* Mix and match paint to required specifications and colour codes
* Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure high‐quality finishes
* Follow safety protocols, including working at heights and in confined spaces
* Maintain and clean spray equipment and tools
* Collaborate with sales and service teams to coordinate painting schedules
* Apply quality control techniques
* Inspect work for conformity to established standards
* Document completed work and report any defects or hazards
* Painting and Touch‐Ups
* Paint covers and components as required
* Perform touch‐ups to address scratches and nicks, ensuring a high‐quality finish
Essential Skills & Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Trade qualification in spray painting or industrial coatings
* Drivers License
Desirable
* Liebherr earthmoving equipment experience
* High Risk Licenses; LF, DG, EWP
* Working at Heights certificate
