Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in Northwest Queensland and Western Australia.
Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced
Diesel Fitter
to assist the
Field Maintenance team
at our Capcoal Surface Operations. To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications
Trade qualification in Diesel fitting, demonstrated experience within an open-cut coal field maintenance environment, solid understanding of the coal mining process and relevant legislation with strong interpersonal skills are essential to the role.
Experience on mobile mine site equipment **** AND **** Draglines, **** face shovel, Hitachi and Terex Excavators, Hastings drills
