Responsibilities
The Drug and Alcohol Team Leader is responsible for ensuring consistent high level care that is innovative and evidence based for clients with drug and/or alcohol issues. This includes providing clinical leadership and support, demonstrating knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the issues that affect individuals with drug and/or alcohol challenges. The Team Leader also has a clinical responsibility to provide direct frontline services to these patients with associated comorbidities.
In addition, the role will provide comprehensive assessment and holistic support throughout a patient's episode of care. The Clinical Psychologist is a specialised role requiring a high level of skill and expertise in youth drug and alcohol, and psychosocial complexity.

Candidate Criteria
* Current Registration with AHPRA as a Clinical Psychologist and a minimum postgraduate master's in Clinical Psychology.
* Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, planning and evaluation of psychosocial interventions with adult patients, including exercising independent professional judgement on routine matters.
* Demonstrated experience with advanced reasoning skills when undertaking patient assessment of cognitive capacity and complex issues, report writing, developing and reviewing care plans, delivering case management activities and psychosocial interventions.
* Knowledge and understanding of the social and emotional needs of patients with drug and alcohol issues, including clinical response and management of trauma, grief and loss, domestic and family violence and child protection.
