**About Guardian Communication Systems (GCS)**
We are an Australian-owned manufacturer of **intercom systems** and **nurse-call technology**, operating for over 40 years. We support critical environments across corrections, healthcare, and security.
**The opportunity**
We are hiring a **Support Technician** to provide **technical support, troubleshooting, and system configuration** for our customers. This is a full-time role with a mix of remote and on-site work, and occasional travel across Australia and overseas.
**A day in the life**
- Configure and test GCS hardware and software
- Troubleshoot network, integration, and configuration issues
- Deliver training and product demos to customers and resellers
- Document solutions and maintain system manuals
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to resolve complex issues
**Requirements**:
- IT qualification or certification
- 3+ years' experience in technical support or field service
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, VPN, routers, switches, and server infrastructure
- Experience with firewalls, remote desktop, and virtualisation
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Current driver's licence and ability to travel
- White Card, police clearance, first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
