Electrical Engineering Position
This is a key role for an experienced electrical engineer to deliver large-scale substations and energy infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering protection and control systems design packages, developing specifications and schematics, working closely with HV electrical and drafting teams, supporting commissioning and site integration of systems, and managing quality, documentation, and compliance with technical standards.
About the Role:
* The ideal candidate will have proven experience working on protection/control systems in transmission networks.
* A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Engineering) and CPEng or working towards it are essential.
* Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g., Engineers Australia) is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver protection and control systems design packages for HV substation projects.
* Develop specifications, schematics, and functional logic diagrams.
* Work closely with HV electrical, primary/secondary, and drafting teams.
* Support commissioning and site integration of systems.
* Manage quality, documentation, and compliance with technical standards.
Requirements:
* Strong understanding of substation SCADA, PLC, HMI, and protection relays.
* Experience with relevant standards (e.g., AS/NZS 61850).
