Job Summary:
The Junior Lawyer role is an exciting opportunity for recent law graduates or experienced lawyers looking to develop their skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
* This role involves working on civil penalty litigation matters, drafting court documents, researching legal matters, and providing advice to stakeholders.
* You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of cases, including those involving large corporations, serious contraventions, and complex legal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting and preparing court documents, including affidavits, statements of claim, and submissions
* Researching legal matters and providing advice to stakeholders
* Appearing in court for hearings, such as directions hearings or penalty hearings
* Working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external clients
Requirements:
* A degree in Law from an Australian university (or overseas equivalent qualification)
* Admission, or eligibility for admission, to the Supreme Court in your State and the High Court of Australia
* A minimum of one year's post-qualification practice experience (or other translatable experience in workplace relations or regulatory contexts)
