The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a refinery environment. This role ensures optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Maintenance & Repair
* Conduct routine preventive maintenance on HVAC units, including cleaning, inspection, and component replacement.
* Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant system issues.
* Troubleshoot faults in HVAC controls, sensors, and automation systems.
Compliance & Safety
* Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Handle and recover refrigerants in accordance with environmental guidelines.
* Maintain accurate service records, logs, and documentation.
Customer Service & Communication
* Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding work performed, issues found, and recommended solutions.
Qualifications & Skills Essential
* Trade qualified Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).
* Or trade qualified Electrician with HVAC experience
* Strong diagnostic and problem‐solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
* Knowledge of HVAC electrical systems and controls.
* Current driver's licence.
Desirable
* Additional certifications (e.g., EWP, Working at Heights).
* Experience in commercial or industrial HVAC environments.
