We're looking for a Junior Graphic Designer – Menswear who is creative, detail‑driven and passionate about surf culture. This role is suited to designers who are developing their skills and want to grow within a global brand.
The Role
Your main focus is to create high‑quality graphic artwork assets that elevate the Rip Curl brand and drive strong product performance. Working with the Head of Design, Art Director and Senior Graphic Designer, you'll help deliver cohesive, innovative surfwear ranges across tees, yardages and key apparel categories
What You'll Be Doing
Product Design & Development
Design and complete specifications for assigned categories from concept through to production, aligned with Product Manager briefs and the Head of Design.
Create graphics, artwork, labels, trims and T‑shirt graphics with strong attention to detail.
Contribute to the growth of Rip Curl's global T‑shirt business by building compelling, high‑quality collections.
Produce 4‑way repeating yardages with accurate colour and layer breakdowns.
Support fittings, strike-off approvals and development processes to ensure samples reflect original design intent.
Assist with design of injection ranges and SMU styles as required.
Maintain consistency across core segments such as Vaporcool, Logo, Logo with Art, Art, Tanks, Muscles and LS.
Creativity & Trend Direction
Conduct ongoing research into global surf, street and youth fashion trends and turn insights into seasonal design solutions.
Apply Rip Curl's creative direction and ensure the product reflects the needs of our core customer.
Participate in Design Camp and contribute ideas and inspiration to the wider team.
Process & Collaboration
Meet all design deadlines with accuracy and proactive communication.
Build strong relationships with suppliers alongside the Product Manager and development teams.
Collaborate with the global design team to help deliver cohesive outfitting stories and seasonal drops.
Set up tech packs, prepare artwork, scale graphics and manage supplier‑ready files using Illustrator, Photoshop and Mac platforms.
