Overview
The City of Sydney is seeking a highly skilled sustainability professional to provide strategic, organisation-wide leadership for our environmental and resilience portfolio. The role offers a salary of $198,955- $223,380 per annum plus superannuation. The organisation is guided by Sustainable Sydney 2030 – 2050 Continuing the Vision.
In This Role You Will
* lead the development of strategies, targets and projects to improve environmental performance and build resilience in our operations and across the local area
* embed environmental and resilience priorities into systems and processes across the organisation
* coordinate strategy implementation across multiple teams to ensure targets are achieved, measured and reported
* lead risk management for environmental and climate risks affecting the organisation and community
* provide specialist advice and foster collaboration with stakeholders across government, industry and the community
Qualifications
You will have a relevant degree and more than 10 years' experience in sustainability. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills are essential, with a proven ability to inspire others and deliver results in complex environments.
