Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated academic achievement and interest in Chemical Pathology; proven ability to succeed in medical examinations
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as a team member and to relate successfully with other staff at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both spoken and written English, including formal and informal presentation of scientific, teaching or clinical material
- Ability, interest and willingness to participate in the teaching of Chemical Pathology and in research
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- MBBS or equivalent, and must be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia
- Completion of Basic Pathological Sciences (BPS) Examination is preferable
- One - Two years' experience in Chemical Pathology would be highly regarded
- The incumbent must become a registered trainee with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia
