We are looking for a collaborative and team-oriented Reliability Engineer across the electrical and mechanical disciplines to join our dynamic manufacturing team based at our Laverton Agchem head office. As our Reliability Engineer, you’ll be ensuring the reliability of all instrument & plant assets that are employed across our MHF site. You’ll have a key focus on improving asset reliability that could otherwise adversely affect plant or business operations.
In addition, you’ll be supporting our trades to provide technical support during day to day activities and have the opportunity to influence, inspire and motivate our employees and contractors as well as grow your career with us.

How You’ll Help Us Grow
Coordinate with process engineers and production planners to understand details of downtime caused due to equipment reliability issues
Coordinate root cause assessment of down time due to equipment reliability by organizing working sessions with on-site process, mechanical, electrical and instrument engineers / supervisors and with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) or third-party SMEs (subject matter experts)
Document root cause assessment exercise in detail with findings, assumptions, assessment reports, outcomes, conclusions and actions
Develop action plan with short-term and long-term actions to address root causes of down time
Raise work orders in CMMS for actions to be executed by in-house maintenance team
Raise purchase orders for procurement of parts and specialized services
Coordinate with maintenance planners to provide all necessary information required to execute actions related to improving equipment reliability
Raise CAPEX requests for long term reliability improvement initiatives
Raise management of change requests (MOCs) for any changes in design of facility / equipment aimed at improving asset reliability
At completion of works, review that works have been completed as required by the root cause assessment exercise
Monitor equipment performance (in collaboration with process engineers and production planners) to ensure that the improvement plan has achieved its desired results.
Could This Be You?
You’re Tertiary qualified in Engineering and bring extensive experience in manufacturing equipment reliability and a strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
You have a strong scientific approach to solving problems, the ability to make data-based decisions, and you’re comfortable working in a team environment with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
