As a Senior Financial Accountant youll make an impact by :
* providing financial accounting and statutory reporting services for the Group including the preparation of the audited annual report
* coordinating and completing supporting disclosures for Group and Bank financial statements
* Engaging with internal and external stakeholders including external auditors ensuring compliance obligations are adhered to
* reviewing of subsidiary financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards and consistency across the Group (where appropriate) and providing technical support to others across the team
* displaying a positive team attitude and willingness to assist others within the team / division as required ensuring we meet all deliverable timeframes
* drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and the automation of financial processes
Position description : PD - Senior Financial
This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 60% of your time per week in the office.
What youll bring to the role
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting finance or related discipline
* Current membership in a related professional accounting body (e.g. ICAANZ CPA)
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations relating to statutory reporting including the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A high level of problem-solving skills attention to detail and organisational skills
* Effective two-way communicator keeping others informed whilst asking questions to understand overall business unit needs
* A passion for continuous improvement ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing demands is an essential component of the role
* Arithmetical data analysis and advanced excel skills
* Previous experience in statutory reporting in a listed organisation
