NQ Kool Cars and Kustoms specializes in vehicle restoration and rebuilds, including custom fabrication, body work, paint and panel, suspension modifications, mechanical upgrades, and insurance repairs.
* All Positions are Full-Time.
SPRAY PAINTER:
Seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join our automotive workshop. The role involves painting both modern vehicles and vintage classics, ensuring high-quality finishes that match original and custom designs.
Skills and Experience required:
* Certification in automotive painting or related field
* Apply high-quality paint finishes to various vehicles, ensuring craftsmanship and surface quality
* Select appropriate paint colours and finishes based on specifications
* Prepare surfaces through sanding, priming, and applying coats
* Work with modern and vintage paint formulations, maintaining colour accuracy
* Rebuild and prime vintage vehicles, addressing rust and body imperfections
* Ensure vehicles are cleaned and polished post-painting
* Maintain spray equipment properly
MECHANIC:
Looking for a Vehicle Mechanic experienced with modern and classic cars. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of vehicles, with opportunities in restoration and customization.
Skills and Experience required:
* Qualifications in Automotive Mechanics
* Strong understanding of mechanics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
* Experience with engine, transmission, suspension, braking, and electrical systems
* Knowledge of both modern and classic vehicle diagnostics and servicing
* Ability to conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Attention to detail and quality workmanship
* Valid driver's license, capable of driving various vehicles
PANEL BEATER:
Seeking a Vehicle Panel Beater with experience in repairing and restoring modern and vintage vehicles, focusing on bodywork, panel repairs, and fabrication.
Skills and Experience required:
* Qualifications in Panel Beating or related field
* Valid driver's license
* Proven panel beater experience, especially with classic cars
* Knowledge of repair techniques, including fiberglass and welding (MIG, TIG)
* Understanding vehicle structures and materials
* Experience fabricating and modifying panels
* Attention to detail in repairs and custom work
* Ability to perform cosmetic and structural repairs
Additional qualities:
* Ability to mentor apprentices
