- 7 day roster covering all shifts.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse in the CALHN Heart & Lung – Respiratory Service, you will provide patient-centred care across a variety of acute inpatient settings, including both emergency and elective services. You will have the opportunity to care for patients with conditions such as Interstitial Lung Disease, Respiratory Failure, Asthma, Pulmonary Carcinoma, and chronic respiratory diseases, while supporting innovative initiatives like telehealth communication, hospital avoidance strategies, and community oxygen titration. Your role is central to delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care that empowers patients to be actively involved in their treatment plans.

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse Level 1 seeking to grow from a novice practitioner to a proficient professional. You will consolidate your clinical knowledge and skills through hands-on experience and continuous professional development, while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary nursing team. You will accept accountability for your own standards of nursing care and for delegated activities, contributing to a supportive and high-performing workplace that prioritises patient outcomes and professional growth.

You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who thrives in a dynamic, multidisciplinary healthcare environment. You are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while contributing to continuous improvement in nursing practice.

- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing Board of Australia

- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills in a clinical setting

- Experience and competence in respiratory nursing practice and patient care

- Knowledge of healthcare standards, legislation, and quality improvement systems
