Our client is a highly respected and well-established diversified financial services firm with a strong pedigree across asset management and corporate advisory. Our client is seeking an Analyst to join their Institutional Equities Research team. This role focuses on domestic ASX SMID-cap resources coverage for institutional investors, spanning bulk commodities, gold, base metals, battery materials, as well as emerging exploration and development companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality institutional research and investment insights across a dynamic and market-relevant segment of the ASX.
The successful candidate will work within a three-person research team and be responsible for coverage of ASX-listed SMID-cap mining companies. We welcome applications from current Equities Research analysts (sell-side or buy-side) who have experience and also a passion for the sector. Experienced associates who feel they are ready to step up into lead coverage are also encouraged to apply. Those who have had experience analysing listed companies previously coupled with a background in geology or mining engineering and strong technical mining exposure are strongly encouraged to apply.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in Commerce, Finance or Business and/or a technical mining discipline (geology, engineering or metallurgy).
• Minimum 5 years experience in equity research buy or sell side or other relevant analytical field
• Strong financial acumen with proven modelling and valuation skills and advanced Excel capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CFA or MBA viewed favourably but not essential.
