??? Asphalt Production Team Expansion: Batcher Lab Technician Roles
?? 1. Senior Role: Asphalt Batcher / Plant Operator We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Batcher to take on a crucial role in our asphalt production facility.
This position is integral to the efficient and safe operation of the asphalt plant, ensuring the accurate batching of materials to meet strict quality standards.
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 Annual Salary + Company Vehicle.
Key Responsibilities (Batcher): Accurately measure and combine raw materials (aggregates, asphalt cement, and additives) according to specified mix designs.
Monitor and maintain asphalt quality by conducting frequent tests and adjusting batching parameters.
Operate and maintain batching and mixing equipment.
Manage raw material inventory levels and assist with truck allocations.
Ensure adherence to Workplace Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (WHSEQ) policies.
Essential Criteria (Batcher): Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt batching or a similar role within the construction industry.
A valid Driver's Licence.
Knowledge of asphalt batching equipment and processes.
2. Specialist Role: Laboratory Technician We are also recruiting for dedicated Lab Technicians to join the Quality Control team, ensuring all production meets rigorous performance standards.
Pay Rate: $***** - $***** per hour (depending on experience).
Key Responsibilities (Lab Technician): Perform comprehensive testing on asphalt and bitumen samples.
Monitor and maintain the quality of asphalt mixtures.
Maintain accurate records of material quantities and batch specifications.
Assist in liaising with and following up customer requirements.
Assist with document and record control procedure implementation.
Contribute to the consultation process and report incidents/non-conformances.
Essential Criteria (Lab Technician): Previous experience in a similar role or vocational education focused on laboratory skills.
A commitment to safety protocols and the ability to identify safety hazards.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively.
