Mechanical Maintenance Technician role at Dyno Nobel
Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, this role will work within a highly experienced maintenance team focused on maximizing plant uptime by undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance. The Dyno Nobel Moranbah Plant is a fully integrated Ammonium Nitrate complex with fixed plant and equipment including compressors, pumps, valves, turbines, generators and conveyors across Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Ammonium Nitrate and Emulsion plants, utilities and power generation.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Maintenance of plant and equipment, including preventative and corrective maintenance as required
- Assist in the day-to-day efficient running of plant and equipment
- Fault finding and diagnostics of equipment failures
- Provide technical execution support to the operations team
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams on continuous improvement initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or similar industrial environments
- Certificate III in Engineering – Trade qualifications in Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning)
- Basic knowledge of maintenance systems. SAP is utilised on site
- Highly motivated team player with solid work ethic
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate constructive decision-making skills
