A reputable logistics company, our client has a presence across Australia and is a market-leading brand. The team is now looking to strengthen its Finance Business Partnering and Compliance function with this new hire.
Job Description
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the key scope of this role will include:
* Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business strategies.
* Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders - including Branch Manager and non-financial stakeholders.
* Analyse business performance and provide actionable insights.
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Lead month-end close.
* Coordination of audit, tax and compliance tasks.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
* Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will possess the following traits:
* CA/CPA Qualified (essential).
* Big 4 or Mid-Tier Audit training.
* Relevant commercial experience working in either a Financial/Management Accountant or Business Partner scope.
* Operational exposure into mining, mining services, logistics or engineering industry (desired)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
