Senior Leadership Position in Computer Science Education

* We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished academic leader to play a pivotal role in providing senior leadership for the Discipline's academic and research performance, strategy, and growth.

* This position involves reporting directly to the Associate Dean of the Interaction, Technology & Information Discipline.

* The successful candidate will have a fixed-term (3 year) contract as Assistant Associate Dean underpinned by an ongoing Associate Professor/Professor position.

* They will be responsible for leading the Computer Science Education-focused subgroup of the ITI Discipline, including education-focused academic staff with significant emphasis on computer science education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Discipline's academic and research performance, strategy, and growth

• Lead the Computer Science Education-focused subgroup of the ITI Discipline, including education-focused academic staff

• Manage, develop, and mentor staff to achieve teaching and research objectives at a College and School level

Requirements:

* Proven strong academic leadership and management experiences and skills

* Established research record in a relevant discipline, with the demonstrated capacity to lead and promote excellent research in the incumbent's field

* Extensive track record of innovative teaching in a discipline relevant to this School underpinned by a deep understanding of contemporary Learning and Teaching theory

* Strong negotiation and influencing skills, the ability to communicate, build, and foster relationships internally and externally

* Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and to act tactically to anticipate opportunities or solve problems based on organisational priorities and objectives

Qualifications and Experience:

* Tertiary qualifications including a PhD in a relevant discipline
