Partner up with a leading Mental Health services provider and join a national trauma response team. This part-time fixed term contract in Canberra involves a combination of assessment and onsite/phone-based response work.

About The Role
The Purpose of this role is to provide Critical Incident Response Services, including emergency response, critical incidents, planned support service, disaster response and incident support forums, using the primary intervention models of Psychological First Aid, stepped care and referral pathways, to support Converge International’s customers.
We are seeking motivated and experienced registered Psychologists and Social Workers to provide critical incident and crisis counselling support to our client organisations. Using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma specific interventions and approaches to support individuals and their organisations through providing one-on-one trauma support and group sessions.
About You
- Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.
- Relevant experience and minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy services
- Demonstrated ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs and provide solution-focused advice to achieve agreed outcomes
- Have a passion to help people and enjoy working flexibly in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent time management skills, report writing skills and your willingness to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
- Demonstrated ability and experience in delivering People Assist services (EAP, RRS).
- High level negotiation and facilitation skills
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders
3-5 years of relevant experience as a psychologist or social worker is desirable and you will have training in Psychological First Aid. A tertiary qualification in Behavioural Sciences and registration with the appropriate professional body is required. A current driver’s licence and your own vehicle is a must.
