Weigelli Centre Aboriginal Corporation is a Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation Centre operating 24/7.
The Service is seeking suitable applicants to fill casual shift work positions.
Specific Duties:
* Monitor and respond as necessary to client care needs
* Facilitate client routines in conjunction with other staff – including during shift changeover
* Participate in care management of clients as required
* Supervise, monitor clients medication dosage and document
* Assist with administration, security and cleaning – including during the client Admission and Discharge processes
* Assist with provision of transport for clients as necessary
* Liaise with the Clinical Team, document and inform of incidents / concerns / cautions arising out of clients behaviours and attitudes
* Participate in Clinical Supervision
* Other related duties as required.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:
* Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people.
* Excellent people skills including negotiation skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to identify and solve problems relevant to the position
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work and undertake required duties unsupervised
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Hold a valid and Current Drivers License
* Covid-19 Double Vaccination (not essential but preferred)
* Meet Pre Employment Checks
Desirable:
* Knowledge and understanding of alcohol and other drug issues in Aboriginal communities.
* Bus licence
* Computer Skills
