Production Manager
As the Production Manager at Newstyle Printing, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the production processes at our state‐of‐the‐art commercial printing facility in mile end, south australia. You will oversee and manage all aspects of the printing and bindery departments, including scheduling, ordering and managing all outsourced components, rostering of staff and quality control. This is a full‐time, permanent role that plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and high‐quality delivery of our printing services to our valued customers.
Key responsibilities
* Manage and oversee all production operations, including workflow planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for offset printing, bindery and finishing departments
* Liaise with sales & estimating staff, prepress, despatch and management to effectively coordinate and deliver jobs on budget and on time
* Rostering of up to 30 production staff
* Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
* Manage and develop the production team, providing training, support and performance feedback
* Monitor and maintain production equipment to optimise uptime and performance
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
* Printing industry (offset) experience is essential for this role
* Proven experience as a Printing Production Manager or someone with printing industry experience looking to take the next step in their career
* Strong operational and project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and optimise complex production processes
* Excellent problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
* Adept at leading and motivating teams, with a track record of developing and engaging employees
* Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new processes and programs quickly.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Australian permanent residency or citizenship required.
