About the Project Administration
* Assist in preparing tender packages and negotiate with sub-contractors for quotations and contract lettings.
* Manage project costs and control contracts through effective contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and issue tender documentation.
* Collaborate with site teams to ensure timely recognition and management of notices.
* Maintain a register of notices.
* Oversee contracts in Maximo and Contracts Register.
* Understand and interpret subcontracted scope of works and communicate to the Project Team.
* Ensure procurement schedules reflect delivery requirements.
* Address claims and disputes promptly, referring them to the Commercial Manager if necessary.
* Verify that insurances are in place, adequate, and current for Sub-Contracts.
* Prepare tender documentation templates from standard suites of contracts or as nominated by Head Contract requirements.
* Compile project performance information for internal and external reports.
* Provide accurate and up-to-date contract information on potential commercial impacts.
Qualifications and Skills
* Hold a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Construction, Property, Quantity Surveying, Law, or associated disciplines are desirable.
* Relevant commercial administration experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated disciplines.
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, and exposure to contract management systems.
* Experience with various project values and complexities.
* Understanding of document control procedures and records management.
* Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and codes to prevent business exposure.
