About the Role

This role is for an Onshore or Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) at one of Woodside's Australian Operating sites. Candidates from either background may apply.

In the role of OIM, you will hold overall accountability for the safe and effective operation of the offshore facility while on duty. The position manages the activities of the asset while maintaining integrity and meeting licence to operate requirements.

As the senior authority, you will assume the role of Incident Commander in the event of an emergency. Established procedures ensure the OIM position is continuously filled to support safe, compliant and reliable operations at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Onshore or Offshore Installation Manager, you will provide strong leadership and governance across all offshore activities, including:

* Lead the safe conduct of all site activities.
* Act as custodian of the facility Safety Case, ensuring ongoing compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, HSE standards, Process Safety Management obligations and goal‑setting regulations.
* Champion a strong HSE culture, ensuring safety systems and processes are embedded, monitored and consistently applied across all offshore operations.
* Maintain accountability for operational and asset risk management, including the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks, and making sound technical decisions to ensure operations remain within the approved technical integrity envelope.
* Oversee asset integrity, maintenance execution and planned shutdown activities, ensuring effective planning, safe execution, workforce engagement and accurate reporting.
* Provide governance over Permit to Work (PTW) and production operations systems, including safety and isolation frameworks, ensuring the accuracy and control of critical operational documentation and acting as Site Controller where required.
* Ensure personnel meet all competency, training and authority requirements, while maintaining emergency response readiness through regular drills and exercises.
* Provide operational support to asset and project activities as required, including participation in office‑based rotations, and coordinate priorities across Engineering, Maintenance and Project teams.

Skills and Experience

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership capability, aligned to a recognised leadership development framework.
* Clear alignment to company, asset and functional objectives, with the ability to lead teams toward shared goals.
* Extensive experience across oil and gas production operations, including plant start ups/shutdowns, isolation philosophy, process monitoring and optimisation, production planning and forecasting, well testing, and marine/offtake operations (for FPSOs).
* Advanced knowledge of Safety Case regimes, performance standards, integrity limits and environmental response procedures, with working knowledge of operational management systems.
* Strong understanding of legislative and statutory requirements, and for offshore roles, supporting marine regulatory compliance.

Recognition and Reward

What you can expect from us:

* Commitment to your ongoing development, including on-the-job opportunities, formal programs and coaching
* Industry-leading 18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carer, and maintenance of superannuation or retirement benefits at the current rate during any period of unpaid parental leave for up to 24 months (plus secondary carer leave entitlements)
* Values led culture with a focus on creating a psychologically and physically safe work environment
* Active employee-led working groups driving initiatives to build an inclusive culture
* Community volunteering opportunities
* Relocation assistance (if required)
* A competitive remuneration package featuring performance-based incentives
