Vestas are advertising for an enthusiastic and collaborative Sales Director to join our Commercial team in Melbourne.
In this role you will be the primary point of contact for customers in a specific geographical region or for a specific customer group.
The Sales Director is the customer interface for all commercial issues and enquiries and adds value to the company buy securing new customers and contracts at prices and terms that will provide favourable returns to the company.
Responsibilities
* Manage the sales process to secure contracts at prices and terms which will provide returns within corporate guidelines
* Maintain and build customer relationships
* Provide internal advice on customer requirements
* Perform regular internal reporting on customers and projects
* Secure internal approvals as required through the sales project process
Staff:
* Regional Sales Team Management
* Involvement R&S of Regional Sales Staff.
* Inter/Intra Vestas team relationships.
* Involvement in staff training.
* Self-development including relevant Vestas internal requirements, plus updating professional skills.
* Provide smooth transition during handover from sales to projects team
Customers:
* Build customer relationships
* Provide information to customers regarding Vestas products, terms & conditions
* Negotiation of sales and service contracts
* Manage customer expectations and activities during sales process
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, law, finance or a related discipline.
* 7+ years' experience in commercial, project management or sales roles, ideally within wind, power, infrastructure or construction.
