You will be an integral part of a team delivering technical services including repairs, planned maintenance and other technology support services to ensure the safety and effectiveness of electronic and/or mechanical health technology equipment and systems.
What you'll do
**You will**:
Deliver routine technical services under the general supervision of more senior practitioners (including installations, commissioning, repairs, and preventive maintenance).
Accurately document maintenance activities in the relevant information systems.
Assist more senior practitioners with the management of locally based resources including spare parts, manuals and test equipment.
Communicate and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers, to achieve service delivery objectives.
About you
**We are searching for someone who**:
Holds the licences, certifications and accreditations required to carry out activities within the relevant discipline areas, or willingness and ability to make significant progress towards obtaining such during the first 6 months of employment. For example: Restricted Electrical Work Licence.
Has a 'C' class driver's licence, and you will be required to drive Queensland Health vehicles as part of general duties.
Has knowledge and experience in electronic and/or mechanical technologies, general engineering and other technologies associated with health technology equipment.
Has willingness to provide guidance and support to students and less experienced practitioners.
Has high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders/clients under the direction of more senior practitioners.
Will be commited to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
