We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious Sous Chef to join our revitalised kitchen brigade. With a new Executive Chef appointed earlier this year, the restaurant is building serious momentum — and we’re looking for a creative, driven professional ready to make their mark. You’ll help shape seasonal menus that champion the best of the King Valley’s produce and deliver exceptional dining experiences with every service
ABOUT THE ROLE:
* Collaborate with our talented team to deliver consistently high culinary standards
* Contribute to seasonal menu development and daily execution, using the freshest local ingredients
* Lead by example in maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards
* Manage mise en place, stock control, and minimise food wastage
* Partner with FOH to ensure seamless service and up-to-date menu communication
* Support rostering, training, and mentoring within the kitchen team
* Be a proactive leader with a hands-on approach to service and operations
ABOUT YOU:
* Commercial Cookery qualification with proven experience in high-end or luxury dining
* Passionate about food, produce, and creating memorable guest experiences
* A team player with strong communication skills and a calm, organised approach
* Adaptable, reliable, and eager to contribute to a growing, dynamic environment
* Solid knowledge of HACCP and Australian food safety standards
* Pride in your craft and an eye for detail in every plate
* A passion for quality food and produce
