Job Opportunity: Senior Consultant at ACIL Allen in Canberra

About the role
As a Senior Consultant, you will work across various aspects of our economic and public policy advisory services, including:
1. Development of methodologies and proposals
2. Gathering and analysing information
3. Client liaison and management
4. Research, report writing, and stakeholder engagement
This role offers the opportunity to develop your advisory skills in economics and public policy by engaging in complex, high-profile projects under the guidance of experienced professionals.
About you
To succeed, you should meet the following requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or economics-based discipline (e.g., economics, statistics, mathematics, finance)
2. Ability to work with or create economic models and derive insights through rigorous analysis
3. At least 5 years of experience in economics, regulation, and public policy advice within government or consulting
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively
Additional desirable qualities include:
1. Advanced analytical skills in Microsoft Excel
2. Experience with other analytical tools (e.g., R, Python, GEMPACK)
3. Experience in economic modelling areas such as general-equilibrium analysis, input-output modelling, cost-benefit analysis, or demographic/workforce modelling
