Responsibilities
* Lead the redesign and modernisation of an existing WordPress website to improve layout and usability.
* Maintain and update current content, ensuring accuracy and clear navigation across journals and publications.
* Refine and optimise visual assets, including images and graphics, in line with updated branding guidelines.
* Improve website performance through optimisation of speed, SEO best practices, and implementation of redirect strategies.
* Manage technical elements including hosting, DNS configuration, and integration of third-party tools such as analytics and email platforms.
Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role
* Proven experience developing and redesigning WordPress websites.
* Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design.
* Experience with SEO optimisation and improving site performance.
* Ability to manage hosting environments, domain settings, and third-party integrations.
* Experience working with publishing, academic, or content-heavy websites.
* Familiarity with submission portals or workflow-based systems.
* Basic graphic design or asset editing capability.
