About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused auto electrician to join our maintenance team.
Based in Gympie, you will be required to work on across a diverse fleet of plant and equipment both mobile and fixed. You will play a crucial ongoing role in enhancing our capabilities, efficiency and service that we provide across multiple industries.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and servicing of electrical components.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in light and heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Identify and resolve problems.
- Install, service, and maintain electrical systems including lighting, control panels, sensors, communication systems, and GPS tracking.
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Perform fault finding on alternators, starters, wiring harnesses, battery systems, and more.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Maintain accurate records and job documentation.
What we are looking for
- Certificate III in Auto Electrical Technology
- Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Licence (Highly Desirable but not necessary)
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
- Thorough knowledge of Safety Procedures / WHS Requirements
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management.
- Valid Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
