Are you an experienced criminal lawyer that will help shape the future of the criminal prosecution service in the Northern Territory?
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is recruiting an experienced criminal lawyer and advocate as a Crown Prosecutor.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert legal advice relating to complex prosecutions.
* Represent the prosecution before all courts of the Northern Territory and the High Court of Australia in jury trials, complex summary prosecutions, appeals and related matters.
* Serve as an experienced advocate with trial experience.
Qualifications
* Admitted or eligible for admission as a barrister or solicitor of the High Court or a Supreme Court of a State or Territory of Australia.
* Experience in jury trial.
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of criminal law.
* Exceptional communication skills with strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.
The Rewards
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of $132,408 - $147,919, inclusive of 12% superannuation, six weeks recreational and three weeks personal leave, 17.5% annual leave loading, substantial career satisfaction, flexible work arrangements, and relocation assistance available.
