Purpose
As a Cook, you are an essential part of our kitchen brigade, assisting experienced chefs in various culinary tasks. You will learn the art of cooking while contributing to the creation of delectable dishes and help the team create meals that leave wonderful memories.
This role will cover the breakfast shift 4‐5 days per week, 0600‐1200. We offer a breakfast buffet with a small à‐la‐carte menu.
Primary Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
* Learn proper techniques for handling and cutting various food items.
* Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safe handling of food.
* Seek opportunities to expand your knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavour profiles.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including washing dishes, equipment, and utensils.
Skills & Experience
* Confidence to work independently, complete ordering, and keep the kitchen clean and standards high.
* Passion for cooking and a strong desire to pursue a culinary career.
* Enthusiasm to learn and adapt in a fast‐paced kitchen environment.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
* Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
