Primary and Community Health Psychology in South Western Sydney Local Health District are recruiting to a temporary full time or part time Clinical Psychologist position based across Fairfield, Liverpool, and Bankstown Community Health Centres. You'll be working in a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and recommendations for children with developmental disabilities. Registrar Clinical Psychologists/Clinical Neuropsychologists are welcome to apply.
Are You the Right Fit?
* Have extensive experience in psychometric and developmental assessment of children.
* Have experience in diagnosing and managing children with autism spectrum disorders.
* Have experience working with young people with developmental disabilities and their families within a family centered approach.
* Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary work environment.
* Demonstrated experience in and commitment to quality improvement and research.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's licence (incl. P1 or P2) or be willing to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
Selection Criteria
* Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full-time duration or recognised equivalent.
* Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence-based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis.
* Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
* Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's licence (incl. P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class licence from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2) licence within three months of appointment. Learner's licences are not permitted.
