Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated and reliable Trade Assistants to join our growing team at Griffin Marine DARWIN. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our skilled tradespeople in the Marine industry. This position is based in Darwin and is not a FIFO role.
Responsibilities:
* Assist tradespeople with various tasks such as maintenance, repairs, and installations
* Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with PPE requirements in an industrial environment
* Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals
* Utilize hand and power tools under the supervision of experienced professionals
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
* Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines
* Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Skills:
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work 40+ hours per week
* Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE usage in an industrial setting
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
* Previous experience using hand tools or power tools preferred but not required
* Possess an OHS Construction Induction (White Card)
Qualifications:
* Current Construction White Card
* Valid C-class Driver's License
* Ability to obtain or hold a valid National Police Clearance
* Confined Space, Working at Heights or other certifications are highly desirable
