Position Summary
The University of Melbourne invites applications for a Research Development Coordinator in the Faculty of Arts. The role is full‑time, fixed‑term until December 2026.
Base Pay Range
AU$20,453.00 – AU$111,275.00 per year, plus 17% superannuation.
Role type: Full‑time, Fixed‑term until December 2026. Faculty: Arts. Salary: UoM 7 – $111,275 – $120,453 p.a. plus 17% super.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead funding identification and promotion, targeting domestic and international research funding opportunities.
- Develop competitive applications, providing specialist advice and support to academic staff and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Manage contracts and projects, drafting and negotiating contracts, setting up funded projects, and liaising with external partners.
- Data analysis and reporting, using data to draft reports, briefings, and presentations to support strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strategic thinker with a background in humanities or social sciences.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders while driving research funding success.
- Tertiary qualification in humanities or social sciences with relevant experience.
- Robust organisational and problem‑solving skills, with a strategic approach.
- High‑level communication skills, capable of transforming concepts into proposals.
- Autonomy and teamwork abilities, managing shifting deadlines effectively.
- Service‑oriented, managing stakeholders and collaborating across organisational boundaries.
