About the role
Clear Mountain Fairview is seeking a dedicated and experienced farm hand to join our team in Greenmount, QLD. As an experienced farm hand, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our family-owned farm, contributing to the overall success and growth of our business. This position is full-time hours (38 hours per week), offering stability and opportunities for career development.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting with a variety of tasks related to crop cultivation and livestock management
* Operating and maintaining a range of farm machinery and equipment
* Ensuring the proper care and upkeep of farm facilities, fences, and other infrastructure
* Monitoring and reporting on the health and condition of crops and livestock
* Collaborating with the farm management team to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency
* Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years of experience working on a commercial farm or in a similar agricultural setting
* Proficiency in operating and maintaining a variety of farm equipment and machinery
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on the farm
* Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
* Commitment to maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment
* Adaptability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Australian citizenship is required for this position
