**About the Role**
Join the Faculty of Fine Arts & Music as a Technical Triage Officer and provide proactive and reactive technical support for the Faculty's lighting, sound, and AV infrastructure. This role oversees the Stock Shop's borrowing and hiring system, ensures safe equipment operation through inductions for students and staff, and manages equipment allocation as needed.

You will be responsible for installing and operating lighting, sound, and AV systems, as well as contributing to maintenance programs and procurement activities.

As part of the Programs & Operations Team, you will join a team that includes staff across Workshops, Digital Media, Production and Facilities, Programming, and OH&S, providing key support to the Faculty's teaching and learning programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Respond promptly and efficiently to ad hoc technical requests from stakeholders regarding lighting, audio and AV as required
- Provide induction, instruction, and demonstration to users of performance-based spaces and equipment such as, EWP's, ladders, seating banks, studios, venues and other learning environments
- Install and operate lighting, sound and AV systems for concerts, examinations, recitals and conferences as required
- Contribute to the updating of venue plans and venue technical documentations
- Contribute to the procurement, upgrade and maintenance of Faculty technical resources
- Contribute to compliance and quality assurance management, in line with requirements under the University's risk management framework

**Who We Are Looking For**
We are seeking a skilled professional with hands-on experience in performance-based technologies, including lighting, vision systems, and audio equipment.

You have a proven ability to work with a range of stakeholders, troubleshoot technical issues, and operate autonomously while effectively prioritising tasks to support service delivery.

You will also have:

- Demonstrated experience providing instruction in the use of performance-based technologies
- Broad experience in the induction and operation of performance based technologies including, lighting, Vision Technologies and audio equipment
- Broad experience in troubleshooting technical issues regarding above said performance based technologies
- Confident use in Vectorworks
- Test and Tag certificate
- Basic electronic skills for equipment repairs

**The Team - Programs and Operations**
The Programs and Operations (P&O) team within the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music is a dynamic work area, delivering services, support and technical expertise to academics, students, professional staff and stakeholders. The team operates predominantly at the Southbank Campus within Melbourne's Arts Precinct, as well as the University's Parkville Campus.

The team oversees program planning, delivery, and operational functions across the following areas: production and technical; event coordination; film and recording studios; asset, equipment and resource management; facilities maintenance and support; capital works and building projects; Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), technical infrastructure; management of workshops, performance spaces, studios and galleries. The Programs and Operations team collectively ensures the effective planning and delivery of the Faculty's performance, creative and visual arts program, aligned with teaching & learning, research, and engagement priorities.
