High-Performing Kitchen Team Leader
Job Description
Culinary Excellence is required in Central Queensland mining villages as a highly experienced Head Chef, leading a high-performing kitchen operation.
Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire a dedicated kitchen team.
* Oversee meal preparation, presentation, and service for a high-volume site.
* Maintain excellent compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, and hygiene standards.
* Manage and improve ordering, stock levels, and kitchen costs within budget.
* Collaborate with the Site Manager on tailored menu planning and customer experience improvements.
* Mentor and train kitchen staff to maintain exceptional standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Proven professional work experience as a head chef for a minimum of 3 years.
• FIFO Experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong leadership and good communication skills.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher certification).
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willing to obtain.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP and WHS requirements.
• Be confident to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical Assessment and Drug & Alcohol Screen.
• Holds current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Certificate is highly desirable.
• Valid National Police Clearance within 12 months.
• Full Working rights in Australia.
