Overview
This is a permanent part‐time (0.75FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2026. The role is 57 hours a fortnight. Because of application flexibility we also welcome applicants looking for lower FTE or job sharing arrangements.
East Manjimup Primary School (PS), an independent public school since 2012, is located on a 7.5‐hectare site surrounded by farmland and native bush. The school focuses on the Whole Child – physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual and mental wellbeing – and caters for students from kindergarten to Year 6, including those with various disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Responsibilities
As a cleaner you will perform a range of duties to maintain a safe and hygienic school environment:
* Internal cleaning – maintain carpets and hard floor surfaces, clean toilets, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and general cleaning tasks.
* External cleaning – clean verandas and covered areas, remove rubbish, clean drinking troughs, window cleaning, remove cobwebs, and carry out other general cleaning duties.
* During vacation periods – strip and seal vinyl floors, clean windows, shampoo carpets, pressure clean verandas and undercover areas.
In this role you should demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and organisational, honesty, reliability and punctuality. You will need excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
To work with us you must:
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment.
