Job Summary
Experienced Speech Pathologist required for a publicly funded community service in the Northern Territory. The role covers paediatric communication cases and undertakes outreach to remote communities.
Schedule
2nd December for 8‑12 weeks, with possible extension.
Location & Travel
Remote communities in the Big Rivers region. Travel by 4WD or light aircraft; overnight stays on weekdays. Return travel reimbursed and free accommodation provided.
Caseload
- Mostly paediatric communication cases – outpatients in clinic and outreach.
- High migrant and Aboriginal population; transdisciplinary model with OT, PT, etc.
- Potential for paediatric inpatients and feeding/swallowing outpatient service (negotiable).
- Occasional coverage of the hospital acute Speech Pathology role during periods of leave.
Team
2 OT, 1 physiotherapist, 2 public health dietitians, 1 allied health assistant, 1 team leader.
