About the role
As Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll play a key role in our Cyber Security team, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day security activities. Your primary focus will be monitoring and responding to incidents, alerts, tickets, and requests to safeguard our systems and data.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the Level 2 escalation point for the Security Operations Centre
- Lead vulnerability management by tracking CVEs and coordinating critical patching
- Review current business proposals and perform comprehensive risk assessments
- Implement and enforce access controls in line with the Essential Eight and legislative requirements
- Support information governance by embedding cyber security best practices
- Contribute to the cyber security roadmap and help strengthen ICT capabilities

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate IV in Cyber Security
- Certification(s) in cyber security methodology standards (e.g. CISM, CISA CompTia+ or similar)
- Highly developed skills and technical experience in the support and administration of Security Operations Centre (SOC) environments
- Email security and phishing protection technologies, including filtering, sandboxing, and user reporting mechanisms
- Familiarity with industry frameworks such as ASD Essential 8, ISO27001, or IS18
