The Role
Retail Operations Manager – responsible for the performance, profitability, and leadership of our entire retail network. This dual‑focus role leads existing store operations and partners with us on the launch of an exclusive BONIIK concession at MYER.
Your Mission Will Involve:
1. Core Retail Operations (Your Day‑to‑Day)
- P&L; and Sales Management – full responsibility for all retail locations, developing and executing strategies to drive sales, manage budgets, and maximise profitability.
- Team Leadership & Development – lead, mentor, recruit, onboard, train, perform management and rostering.
- Inventory & Stock Control – oversee all inventory management, including stocktakes, ordering and loss prevention.
- Store Standards – champion an exceptional in‑store experience, maintaining visual merchandising, cleanliness and brand presentation.
- MYER Project Support (Your First Major Initiative)
- Operational Partnership – primary liaison with MYER teams to ensure a smooth ongoing partnership after the project is built.
- Operational Consultation – serve as SME for the project team, reviewing plans and providing operational practicalities, WHS and workflow feedback.
- Systems Readiness – partner with the project team to test POS, inventory integration and other operational necessities.
- Team & Launch Readiness – recruit, hire and train the new MYER concession team, ensuring day‑one readiness on BONIIK standards and MYER policies.
- Go‑Live & Ownership – manage the go‑live transition and immediately assume full P&L; and operational ownership of the concession.
Who We’re Looking For
A senior retail leader and commercial expert who thrives on driving results, building high‑performing teams and navigating concession environments.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Senior Retail Experience – 3‑5+ years in a senior retail management role (e.g., Area Manager, Cluster Manager).
- Department Store Expertise – Direct experience managing operations within major department stores (MYER, David Jones).
- Strong P&L; Acumen – commercial leader comfortable building budgets, managing P&Ls; and reporting on financial performance.
- Inspirational Leader – natural mentor passionate about motivating and developing teams.
- Multi‑Site Management – proved success in managing multiple retail stores simultaneously.
- Operational Excellence – expert in inventory control, loss prevention, rostering, and visual merchandising.
- Beauty/Cosmetics Industry Passion – experience or strong passion for beauty, skincare or cosmetics.
