About the Opportunity
Due to the 24/7 nature of the facility and an increase in production demands, we are looking to source reliable Mechanical Fitters for on-call and casual support.
As an on-call Fitter, you will be a key component of the maintenance team, ensuring minimal downtime through rapid response repairs and precision maintenance. You will be involved in the troubleshooting and repair of high speed packaging machinery, conveyor systems, and processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
* Undertake rapid-response mechanical repairs on high-speed production lines.
* Fault-find and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drive systems.
* Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections during production windows.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and food-grade hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with site engineers to optimise machinery performance and reliability.
About you
This role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in their ability to solve complex mechanical issues under pressure.
To be considered for the role you must:
* Hold a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent.
* Have proven experience in an industrial maintenance environment
* Possess strong mechanical aptitude, and ideally have experience in high speed automation and conveyors
* Have the flexibility to accept on-call shifts, including nights and weekends.
