$163,****** per annum + 12% superannuation
Part time, fixed term opportunity (0.6 FTE – Job share)
Wadawurrung Country / Geelong based (hybrid working model – 3 days per week in office)
About the role
Return to Work (RTW) Victoria is a business unit of WorkSafe with responsibility for delivering excellence in recovery from workplace injury, excellence in employer driven return to work from workplace injury and excellence in claims and case management.
As part of a job share opportunity, the Manager, Strategy and Planning role forms a part of the Business Service and Enablement leadership team within RTW Victoria, reporting to the Director Business Service and Enablement.
The Manager, Strategy & Planning will support leading a team of project, planning and strategic specialists which focus on the development and delivery of RTW Victoria's strategic projects. The Manager is also personally accountable for delivery of planning, governance and risk support for the business unit.
This position will specifically focus on engaging with Senior Leaders and Executives on business planning, review and identification of risk and making key recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, direct management and/or support to RTW Victoria for business planning, risk management activities, internal audit, change management and other relevant projects
Manage the business planning and budget cycle for the Executive Director in conjunction with the Executive Leadership Team.
Lead the delivery of RTW Victoria's risk management framework and lead the annual risk attestation process for business unit.
As required, develop and lead the implementation of initiatives and infrastructure solutions and systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of RTW Victoria.
Lead or participate in strategic project reviews relating to scheme viability, market trends & developments, financials and any or other issues related to current and future operations.
About you
You will be an experienced manager with a strong background across project management, risk and governance. You will be comfortable dealing with and managing change and navigating risk combined with the ability to be flexible and agile.
In addition your strengths will include your communication and presentation skills along with your ability to engage with and influence senior leaders and executives.
Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:
Relevant experience in annual business and corporate planning cycles
Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and motivating a team
Ability to deal with ambiguous data and achieve results
Demonstrated understanding of financial frameworks, including budget and review cycles
Experience developing, managing and improving governance frameworks
Experience in managing the delivery of moderate-sized projects within the context of business-lead projects
Demonstrated ability to motivate, generate energy and commitment, and an ability to work effectively within a small, dynamic team
Knowledge of workers' compensation legislation, relevant jurisdictional legislation and legal precedents, including strategic and policy issues
