We are seeking a Level B academic with expertise in contemporary nursing research/practice and the facilitation of undergraduate and postgraduate education. The successful candidate will contribute to the national and international research reputation, undertake research resulting in external grant income and publications.
About the Role
This part-time (0.6FTE) Continuing Appointment is based at the Melbourne Campus and offers opportunities for staff to engage in clinical practice. Bachelor of Nursing students are allocated to a clinical school for their third year, with relevant theory and placements provided within the network.
The School has a strong national and international reputation in nursing and midwifery research and education. As a successful candidate, you will have opportunities to work across various sites associated with the campus.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop high-quality learning experiences that engage students through tutorials, practical classes, workshops, field excursions, clinical sessions and studio sessions.
* Demonstrate a scholarly approach to learning and teaching, contributing to disciplinary pedagogy and research.
* Stay up-to-date with innovations in teaching and learning, incorporating appropriate online and blended delivery methods.
* Conduct and publish research as a member of a team or independently, producing conference papers and peer-reviewed publications.
* Attend to leadership and administrative functions connected with the position.
Requirements
* A Registered Nurse registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* A PhD or equivalent accreditation, recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the Nursing/Midwifery disciplines.
* Competence in teaching and curriculum development.
* Evidence of high-quality and/or high-impact research funded, conducted and published relative to opportunity.
* Ability to supervise or co-supervise honours, postgraduate and HDR students.
