About the Role
Reporting to the Office Manager, this position provides essential support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general administration. This is a full time permanent position that assists in ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, financial records are well maintained, and internal controls are upheld in accordance with organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Enter approved supplier invoices into Xero accurately and in a timely manner
* Assist with invoice verification and coding
* Reconcile supplier statements and follow up discrepancies
* Assist with preparation and issuing of invoices, including recurring invoices
* Record receipts and maintain accurate debtor records
* Support monitoring of outstanding invoices and respond to customer queries
* Assist with monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Support petty cash administration and reconciliation
* Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and finance function
* Maintain electronic and physical filing systems
Skills and experience
* Certificate III or IV in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Business Administration (or currently working towards
* 1-2 years experience in an administration or accounts support role
* Exposure to Xero or similar accounting software (desirable)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential information
* A willingness to learn and develop bookkeeping capability
