Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and qualified Baker to join our fast paced production team in our Caringbah facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, baking, and quality control of a wide range of baked goods in a large scale production environment. This role requires a keen eye for consistency, efficiency, and strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and specialty baked products in line with production requirements. Operate and maintain large-scale bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, dough dividers, etc.). Follow production schedules and batch specifications with precision to ensure consistent output. Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished goods to maintain product integrity. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and report stock needs. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in compliance with HACCP and food safety standards. Assist with the development and testing of new products as required. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and improve processes. Key Requirements: Certificate III in Baking or equivalent formal qualification (mandatory). Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial or industrial bakery setting. Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume production environment. Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety regulations. Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25kg. Excellent time management and attention to detail. Flexible with shift work, including early mornings or weekends if required. Desirable: Experience with automated bakery equipment and production lines. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or process improvement initiatives.
